About me

I am a 75 year old 'Geordie' living on the Nottinghamshire/Derbyshire border who has taken up photography  (much more seriously)  during his retirement years. I love how modern technology has handed the photographer the ability to be more artistic and given him the tools to express himself. I am very much self-taught and, although I will listen to all points of view, I am not inhibited by any 'photographic rules'.

I believe I have developed an unique ‘style’ which I described as ‘Impact Photography’ and with which I have consistently won photographic competitions.

All to often we retirees feel that our chance to express ourselves artistically has been forever lost because of those family raising and working years, and believe that we can never again regain that youthful creativity and inspiration we once had.  Not so!

I feel it is extremely important to get this message out to people of my age; that the ‘rivers’ of imagination and creativity do not dry up when you reach 60.

Please enjoy my attempt at being creative...............
